oh god. sch is starting the day after tmr. ='(
actually it doesnt seem that scary anymore.. n in fact.. i want sch to start soon. but minus away the getting up EARLY part. URGH. i woke up at 12nn today.. how m i supposed to wake up at 6 or earlier?? but b4 u say anything.. i went for the countdown ystd. haha. at esplanade. it was kinda a last min decision. the fireworks display was AWESOME. n u noe they say it seems like the fireworks will like drop on you when it falls back? its kinda true. but it disappeared when its like 4 storey up us. COOL. n we went lau pa sa to have supper afterwards.


anyway.. i shocked my dad today. i took the business times from him b4 he read it.
told him i need to prepare for my GP..
and we have to PASS GP this YR.
good lord.. GP.. when i already have difficulty passing english..
since we dont order straits times pp. i RARELY read newspaper..regrets.. only on mon [bcoz the sch order for us].. n i dont read "newpaper".. theres not much CONTENT. so you see.. theres only the business times.. my parents basically surf the net when they want to know more bout sin happenings.. n i dont surf the net for news.

ok. theres this topic thats been bothering me since some stranger started it.


Do you think in today's modern society, men and women are of equal status?
you know it would be wierd when a female says her dream job is to be an engineer of xyz ..
or when a male says he wants to be a salesman selling cosmetic??
if today's world is that equal as we all think, why izzit that we all feel some jobs are only for a certain gender.. not that there are lots of different gender to think of .. only 2.
and dere r some men who feels that their wife shouldnt be working n all she has to do is to take care of the hse n children [if they have].. that the kitchen is the women's territory.. n she has to cook n blah blah.
or even in a working environment.. when a female lets say.. a secretary gets bonus or promotion.. ppl always say she has some affair with the boss.. thats y lala. why cant they think its bcoz of her capability and etc etc.
while for the male its bcoz of his capability that he got his promotion.


maybe its bcoz we are living in the middle of the modern n old. that we are not yet that modern or passed old.


then again.. lets talk bout those white collar jobs.. dere are yes.. more males..
mayb its bcoz of the difference in the brain for female n male.. u noe.. ppl always say math n sci are more suited for men while languages n arts are for female.. though i don see that in my class.. its more likely the otherway round. i feel its just the maturity of the person.. that affects the thinking of him/her. n im going offcourse..


well.. time will tell if men and women are of equal status.

and human evolution is interesting..
from apes to human.. what will be the next stage of evolution??
mayb in a thousand yrs everybody will be gifted/talented in some ways.
then again.. wont out wits outwit us n lead to destruction??
