Happy National Day & Olympics

fyi: Queenstown choir was in NDP'08. my sis has been happily going for rehearsals every sat till the extent that her group of friends even wrote "Thank You" card to the army guys looking aft her [eh no link]. i started thinking that 633 frens rcvd it & i started laughing much to her bewilderment. HAHA.

ok. im not the athletic type and the whole olympic fever in my bk has gotten way too much of emphasis. firstly theres the change in cover for st times although i dont really SEE the changes besides the font and summary. oh and forum has been shifted to the main section. like half the stack is about reports on rankings and well-being of the athletes. so sports get thoroughly covered while barely few of us know when arts fest is.

2. omg. channel 5,hd5,u,8,suria, like ALL the free public access stations are showing the olympic sports LIVE! since i do not (grudgingly look at my pa) have starhub or singtel cable teevee, fr the period now till olympic closing ceremony, there will be someone swimming, boxing, shooting in goals.... in all of the teevee. HOW LOVELY. everyone turned into sports craze fan overnight.
So whens waterpolo & swimming male only showing btw? haha.

3. the Olympic is the TALK of the Town! from nosey taxi drivers to lecturers. i was groceries shopping, when this aunty first asked the meaning of the english label on the bread. aft translating everything (yi ju bu shao ye bu chuo k) to chinese, she reminded me to catch the singapore team during Olympic and cheer them up (thru tv?). of course i was shocked. i went 'dui, yi ting yao' since, obviously as Singaporean we have to cheer on team Singapore! so ya. JIA YOU! i can safely conclude that whenever u see someone rushing somewhere, it must be for the Olympics. tv crew must be earning LOTS fr the advertisement now. $$

oh well. maybe i'll gain something fr watching/nt watching the Olympics. maybe i'll find myself wanting to become more athletic and go running round my block one fine day & i'll get my tutorials done on time from not watching.
