urban and skincare woes

i love reading st urban. its a compacted news mag for all fashionistas (& would-be). basically it informs me bout the latest trends in sg and the happening happenings.
these few weeks of urban ed, have been rattling on skincare and today's ed even touched on skincare for Men. No more just cleansing, today's metropolitan males have skincare regime comparable to the female counterparts.

This makes me a little embarrassed.

sorry. but whats skincare regime? ive heard bout (fr urban again) the 3 step - cleanse, tone, moisturise. but [POLL needed here] who does them??
ive a few doubts: izzit really necessary and effective? whats toning? and isnt our young skin already oily to begin with hence should skip the moisturize part?

and what pdts would u recommend wout causing a breakout???

i think i missed an impt developing stage!

recently, i realised some of my friends ve been putting on eyeliner to sch. [actually they ve been drawing since sch started so i realised late] its not that they look hideous putting it on. they look erm normal. but i always thought eye liner was a tricky thing. it takes time to draw the perfect black line just before the eyelid ends (i even ve probs explaining how to use em). i always ve this prob putting them on, back when i needed them for my choir perf (oh those were the loveable days, i miss them so much...and thats not the point). thing is: i never know hw to draw them wout looking weird. one eye would look undrawn the other too much or it doesn even show when i draw them since my double eyelids gimme the peek-a-boo attitude. and SO im surprised how they managed to use just 3 mins or less to draw them on every morning. EXPERTS I MUST SAY.
conclusion: i missed out the beginner and intermediate stage.
i get totally clueless when they start harping bout various beauty pdts otc. which makes me a lil embarrassed to tell them that im living in the stone age where i just cleanse my face and apply pimple cream when it appears mthly.

so can u understand? since when did girls become so grown up and pros bout such stuff?
