evolution

"Mutation. From a single-cell organism, to a complex being. It is the key to our survival, to being the dominant species on Earth. It is slow, taking place over thousands and thousands of years. But every other millennium, evolution takes a leap"
-Xmen2
Are we ready for the leap? are we ready to deal with those who are superior by a tweak of the correct genes? are we able to judge them as common beings or as mutant?
if the next evolution lies in our hands, would you want to correct the flaws of human? stricken by diseases, emotion getting the better of ourselves, the 7 deadly sins? wouldnt you want your future children to be as perfect as possible?
even if therapeutic gene therapy succeeds in future..creating any damaged organs, wouldnt the sanity of life be tainted? wouldnt you treasure yourself less since theres always another replacement? i don't know. i'm standing on the fence. one side of me agrees that if it succeeds, life would be better. no more heartbreaks due to the departure of loved ones..more chances for another life to live better because he/she doesnt deserved to be stricken with the disease. on the other hand, how would we treat human with their stomach, liver, heart replaced with genetically produced organs? do we consider them full human? orr...
what about those with almost every organs replaced? then whats the differences with them and those who are produced under reproductive gene therapy?
doesnt this scene remind you of the movie..erm i forgot the show title. i think arnold Schwarzenegger acted in it.

enought with all these mind boggling things.
i get pretty upset when i think that im gonna stop exploring indepth when i take up courses totally unrelated with evolution/biology. one part of me actually wish to explore more of evolutions and stuff. DnE actually interest me alot. i just love the controversial ard it. nature or nurture. besides i love commenting on it. but everybody says lab work is boring. and and i have to care of my eyes. and nobody seems to support me if i go into science.
to side track ive been looking at the world map alot. and it kinda reminds me of jigsaw. you wont believe what i say, but heck. ive been trying to paste e 7 continents (asia, africa, north america, south america, antarctica, europe and australia) back into the original pangea 250 million years ago. it kinda fits. (in my imaginary mind) but im still puzzled where i should 'paste' australia.
enough of bio-ology.
i watched 27dresses. i think manda hates my super short dress. but im only wearing it once anw.
its monday tmr. i get to watched another ep of tka. but AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH..another week of work. =(
i think theres another temp coming fr sa.
