grass & flowers

Mich's fren remarked "if you are pro-life, you shouldnt even be stepping on grass"
stirred up another of my thought 'why do we not step on flowers but on grass?' izzit simply bcoz flowers are pretty and nice while grasses are just plain ole boring green?
We all play/kick on grass patch/field but why do we not do the same on flower patches..if all beings on earth are created equal...
In short, is this the practical side to life? that all things good and nice are cherished while the rest arent??

All i know is, i wouldnt be looking at grasses the same way again.
