Just as it was 2 yrs ago.
Then, in our neatly ironed golden dresses and black suits and make up, we were making our way to the Victoria Concert Hall.
Although packed lunch was better than usual, all of us had not much of an appetite. There wasnt much stress given by instructors, teachers, seniors...they just told us to "Sing our Hearts Out". Though no one said a thing, deep down, each of us secretly wanted that ultimate Gold. The award to offset our time and hardwork put into preparation for the competition. The award to give us the deserved recognition we deserved. The award; the school, seniors, instructors, and ourselves were so much hoping for, during every practices. We even sacrificed studies, time with family and friends, rest time, play time because we knew it would be worth it.

As it is now. The next batch of NyChoristers would be heading up the VCH stage.
2yrs have passed.
But i still can recall vivdly the proceedings before we stood on the coverted stage. Feelings of tension, excitement, anxiousness..swept our us just as we reached the VCH entrance. Like it or not, today is the day.

It was an odd feeling when we stood on the stage as one, representing NY. Behind the facade of smiles that we put up, it was a mixture of pride, determination, anxiousness.
Then went the set piece and 2 chosen songs.

Competition is a funny thing. Or was it the pressure under competition. We made a 3 bar error for the set piece which we had never made before during practice. Everything went so well. Except for that 3 bar. In fact, the rest were fantastic, much better than practices.

Perhaps reaching Gold require perfection.
Our set piece wasnt perfect.

We just havent reached perfection in 2007.

2 years have passed.
Time now is 1.26pm. In a few mins the Nychoristers would be up on stage.

The stage is yours.
