goodness.. its sure HOT in sin, as im typing, beads of perspiration dripping down. when the aircon is not on. but i miss singapore still when i was there.

to get things started..
let me give a brief intro of the yunnan province b4 i start showing some photos. so dont peek and scroll down before u read this all and digest it.
depending on which part of yunnan u visit the temp there varies all the way from -15 to 22 C
what really interest me is that the sun still shines as brightly when its cold. cool nature phenomenon. one minute it can be 10 C out there, and change to warm 20C. diff in 10 C is alot i tell you.
male to female ratio 1:8
that is seriously a HUGE GAP.
despite the lack of male in yunnan, the men aint given more power than the women. infact it is the women who govern the head of the family. woman power!! haha.
depending on which state you go.. the ladies there are not call xiao jie or the guys there xian shen.

so i started out to msia on airebus those double decker ones to meet my relatives at KL. the bus attendant provided lunch, western cuisine (hamburger + potato wedges + coslaw) i wouldn say much bout the quality of it. it's BUS FOOD. how good can it go? and after a day of shopping for bubble gum and chewing gum which add up to 50 ringgit altogether we set off for KL international airport to destination no1 china SHENZHEN. ok. i know it's getting boring without pics. coz i didnt take any then.



tada. our first sightseeing destination after lunch.
ok i need to side track. i admit that i got air-sickness. ARGH!! and i thought that was a thing of the past. but true to heart, i wasnt feeling well after reaching shenzhen after 4h plus on the aeroplane and it doesnt HELP at all when theres the occasional turbulence. so after lunch i puke for the first time in my life. but all that came out was water/saliva. coz i didnt eat much. that was the time i seriously felt like heading back to singapore WITHOUT taking the aeroplane. but that was an impossible thought. my stomach was like all jumbled up, head dizzy. but after taking medicine i felt better. so if you can see from the photo, my lips have gone pretty white. the pics are taking such a darn LONG time to upload coz i didn upload it directly through blogger. i upload it first to photobucket where the pic quality will be much better. see! i do so much for you guys.

ok. china folk culture village. the sceneries were fantastic. met my expectation of how it would be.

next day, we headed to kunming. again by flight. took the air sick medicine b4 that so it was pretty alrite. see i even took a pic. by then we reached and took our dinner it was already night. and we did some shopping. though i didnt buy much. wanted to buy a bag there. 95 yuan so its 19 sin but didn coz thought i would see more. but chey there werent any nicer ones.

day3: stone forest n jiuxiang cave.
the stone carvings were all NATURAL due to the erosion or smth geography. they say if you are really fated or creative enough you would be able to see what nature wants to present to us. future/past. there was this elephant and god carving which i would have totally missed if the tour guide didnt tell us. see. wu yuan jiu shi zhe yang.
the cave was DARK so didnt take much pics even though cam itself has inbuilt flash but it would have totally spoil the whole scenery it is suppose to be dark black w few lightings along the way. the cave has bout 400 steps. i was pretty ok with that since its still the start of the trip. but my mom was totally dead bushed after climbing. bro was the first to reach the top and for many subsequent climbings. hes just 11. i think he has big lung capacity. =p. trained from blowing his di zi. i guess i have an athletic brother. but hes still the shortest in the trip. waha. and he swear that he'll be even taller than me least 180+. we'll see. we'll see. and since then he's been jumping and playing bball alot alot. he has the genes, our whole family has it.. his body just need to find and use it during his growth.

megan (my niece in fact) and i. shes 15. and wer bout the same height. since im wearing sports shoes which makes me an inch higher i cant really tell whos taller.

day4
i forgot what place this was. except that there were LOTS of sea gulls.


and we climbed up another 400steps again to reach this peak. 3 main gods in particular to touch.
1) the cai shen, money god for prosperity
2) the turtle, as we chinese believe, for long health
3) the dragon ball, for luck.


the peak. the sea is bout 2x bigger than sin. =O
talking bout sea. our sea can be called LAKE there.. i think our river can be called trebutaries there.. hahaok crap the spelling i forgot.

day 5
another place with lots of sea gulls.


oh. we visited the flower market before leaving for lijiang. theres seriously LOTS of different variety of flowers. both real and dried.
and it was dark when we reached after 5h of bus ride.

day6
took cable car up n down the mountain which is bout 3000+m above sea level.

day7
left for cold shangrila where we have to put on our heavy jacket coz the temp drops below 0 in the morning and at night.
went to the tiger leaping gourge.


name is so called bcoz of a passed down legend. there was once this tiger which wanted to escape being captured and since surrouding it were mountainous areas it jumped from one clift to another successfully. from what i see the dist bet two mountains were darn great and if it could really jump to another it would have taken LOTS of energy, muscle power and determination. like those in the tv shows.

anw.. there were steps to climb again. but this time.. i really had PAINS climbing up the steps. since it was 3640+ m above sea level there weren lots of oxygen in the atmosphere.. i had to stop multiple times before i could climb back up and i thought of stopping seriously.. but i thought of home and found my breath before embarking up again.


it was like running 2.4km without stopping.

after that we enjoyed a round of tibetan singing and dancing..plus a whole lamb to feast on and tibetan food. the folks there were really nice and made u feel at home.
joined in 2 of the dance although i was jus anyhow moving.

day 8
we sat on horses and yak.
the horses were smaller in size as compared to those here. bcoz of the weather i supposed. mine was very docile. couldnt show u the pic of my horse with grace. but my sis's horses actually KICKED my bro ankle. WTF man. the two horses were toooo near to each other and her horse started getting crazy and wanted to fight with my bro's horse and his leg got kicked instead. luckily my bro was alrite. if he was injured or kicked limp or wadever i'll make sure that horse get executed leg first. a tortured death i tell you. then i'll throw it to the wild dogs. nobody messes around with my siblings.

thats the yak. its camera-trained. at every angle the cam goes.. its head follows. go yak! ive seen a yak gone crazy b4.. it actually threw the passenger off its back. luckily that person was alrite. except that the girl was screaming like crazy.
the WILD side. animals will always be animals.
